Registration: The course is free of charge to Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, Title II: Adult Education and Family Literacy Act (WIOA, Title II: AEFLA) funded programs.


The goal of this course is to provide participants with a general understanding of instructional techniques and strategies that are appropriate for adults with learning disabilities.

This course takes place entirely online and runs for four consecutive weeks, from 02/10/2020 to 03/08/2020. Weekly participation is required, though participants may, during a given week, log in whenever they wish. The first Webinar will take place during week one, the time and date of the webinar will be posted.

Become familiar with and practice strategies for helping adults with learning disabilities succeed in your classes! Learn to select appropriate accommodations to meet diverse learning needs. This workshop presents an overview of various instructional approaches and helps you design one instructional activity using an LD-appropriate approach.

Participants who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate of participation (14 hours); they are also eligible to apply to CSUS for 1.4 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) if they wish.

It is recommended that participants take Designing Programs for Adults With Learning Disabilities I before taking this course; it may be completed via the self-directed course.
