Services at the Center

The Delta Sierra Professional Development Center(PDC) provides professional development and technical assistance for adult education and literacy providers in San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Tuolumne, Calaveras, and Amador Counties

Based on our local needs, the PDC offers the services listed below:
  • Professional Development Workshops may be offered at the Delta Sierra site or hosted at your site. We organize workshops and arrange for presenters/facilitators to support all areas of adult education. See our calendar for currently scheduled workshops.
  • The Resource Center maintains a Resource Library of research materials, texts, teacher guides, video and audio tapes, DVDs, and software for check-out.
  • Regional Network Meetings are hosted at the center to encourage communication and the sharing of ideas among educators providing similar services.
  • Technical Assistance for state and federal grant programs (231/225) and new-user trainings and technical assistance on the Outreach and Technical Assistance Network (OTAN) electronic communication system are also available.
  • State and Regional Agency Meetings and trainings are provided for OTAN, CASAS, CDLP, CALPRO, Adult Education Leadership projects and the California Department of Education (CDE).
  • Information Dissemination is coordinated for adult education agencies through a regional OTAN listserv.
