Resources at the Center

booksThe Resource Library at the Delta Sierra Professional Development Center (PDC) houses a collection of print, video, and electronic resources for adult education instructors and administrators. The collection of materials includes texts, workbooks, teachers’ guides, videocassette tapes, audiocassette tapes, and computer software.

Resources may be checked out at the PDC for up to a three-week period. You may have materials mailed to you if you cannot visit the Resource Center personally. The only expense incurred by your agency will be the mailing cost for returning the materials back to us. Videos resources may be viewed on site.

The National Center for ESL Literacy Education (NCLE) at the Center for Applied Linguistics, the only national information center focusing on the language and literacy education of adults learning English, works to support those providing such services. (http://www.cal.org/ncle/)

The National Center for the Study of Adult Learning and Literacy (NCSALL) both informs and learns from practice. NCSALL is also a leader in designing innovative professional development programs and in building support for research use. (http://www.ncsall.net)
