To facilitate continuing dialogue about the research presented
at the symposium, CALPRO has initiated two on-line resources. The
first is the LPRPConnections discussion group that is focused on
helping practitioners make connections between research and practice.
To find out more about the list click here http://www.calpro-online.org/announce/lprp.asp.
To subscribe to the list send an email message to join-lprpconnections@lists.scoe.net.You
can leave the body of message blank.
The second on-line resource is a symposium-related section of
the Adult
Literacy Education (ALE) wiki . Wikis are websites that multiple-users
can edit, and so are locations where resources and insights can
be easily shared and organized. From the main page of the ALE Wiki,
scroll down to the Meeting of the Minds (continued). From that point
you can click to see what participants thought the implications
were of the research presented (http://wiki.literacytent.org/index.php/SymposiumResearchImplications),
and you can access the list of research questions that participants
generated (http://wiki.literacytent.org/index.php/SymposiumQuestionResponse).
To view the questions in a format that allows you to make comments,
visit (http://wiki.literacytent.org/index.php/SymposiumQuestionResponse)
To become a contributor to the wiki, follow the instructions for
logging on and editing. For questions about either of these resources,
contact Erik Jacobson at
CALPRO.
